Georgia’s Ranking History

Georgia has only had one head coach produce a ranked team more than once since the turn of the century. With that being said, Jim Harrick, who had the Bulldogs ranked in 3 out of the 4 seasons in which he was the Head Coach at Georgia. Prior to Mike White, the Bulldogs had only been ranked once since 2010, which was during the 2010-11 season with Mark Fox as the Head Coach.

Mike White is currently on track to become Georgia’s best coach since Jim Harrick. Harrick’s tenure in Athens ended after a scandal broke involving his son Jim Harrick Jr. giving certain Basketball players benefits such as class grades or, in one instance, some cash.

Up Next for Georgia

The month of December will be a relatively slow month for the Bulldogs on the court. They will play 3 non-power 4 teams to close the month out. Starting with Western Carolina on Thursday this week. They will then host West Georgia on Monday, December 22nd, and Long Island University on Monday, December 29th.

Georgia is looking to finish non-conference play 12-1 for the second season in a row. After doing so last year, the Bulldogs were rewarded with their first NCAA tournament appearance in a decade.

After that, the Bulldogs will jump straight into conference play after the New Year as they play host to Auburn on January 3rd.
